A BIT ABOUT ME

Hi I’m Chas, I’m 32; Born in England with a Mediterranean heart (thanks to my Turkish roots!) with two siblings who now live in the US and Australia. Our parents moved to the UK from Turkey in the 1980s, so we had an awesome, blended upbringing with *lots* of food and the odd Raki (its like a Turkish sambuca) fuelled night. I will happily admit that I am a crazy cat lady to Alfie, my lockdown kitten, who luckily hasn’t yet had to witness an awkward dad-belly dancer encounter like me!

 

As a young girl I was always the one who had the most beauty products, make-up, hair accessories, and hair bands littering the bathroom…who doesn’t love to accessorise! My earliest memories involve me dressing up, experimenting and cutting my own hair (sorry mum), and I have always been so passionate about hair and make up. 

 

I realised my true calling was to become a hair and makeup artist when I realised I could combine my passion for being creative with my love for being around people, making them feel truly amazing. I trained with The Hair and Makeup School in Buckinghamshire, then moved back to my home town in Cambridge where I set up my business. It was really important to me from the start that I offered services to everyone, regardless of race, sexuality, age, or gender, so anyone could have access to my services for their wedding or special day.

 

As I am a lover of all animals and nature I use cruelty free brands that are eco friendly and biodegradable, and stay updated on new products that allow me to be more sustainable. 

 

I specialise in hair and makeup for weddings and special occasions (just please don’t ask for any fancy dress style looks as you’ll still end up looking glam!) I am always learning about new products that are in-line with my brand and will enhance your experience with me. There are always so many new launches from so many brands, so I practice with them before meeting, and use top quality, selected products that will make you camera ready, all day long.

 

I promise to take great care of you from our very first chat, and hopefully make you laugh to calm those nerves down. I’m here to take any pressure off you and make the getting ready process as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
